Building 429

Since the release of their debut album in 2000, Jason Roy (vocals), Michael Anderson (drums), Jesse Garcia (guitars), and Aaron Branch (bass) have tirelessly and passionately exhorted the faith community with popular battle cries such as “Where I Belong” and “We Won’t Be Shaken.” In fact, their songs have also reached the peak of the radio charts. Building 429 held the No. 1 spot with “We Won’t Be Shaken” on Billboard’s Hot AC/CHR chart and AC Indicator for multiple weeks, eventually resulting in a nomination for the band at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards (Top Christian Song). Previous to that, “Where I Belong” (from 2011’s Listen To The Sound) became one of the longest No. 1 singles in Billboard history of Billboard’s Christian charts with a whopping 15 weeks at the top. “Where I Belong” went on to be named 2012 Christian Song of the Year and recognized as BMI’s 2013 Song of the Year.

Building 429 also received recognition with a GRAMMY nomination in 2013 for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album (We Won’t Be Shaken), a KLOVE Fan Awards nomination in 2014 for Best Group or Duo of the Year, Billboard’s 2012 Christian Songs Artist of the Year and Christian AC Songs Artist of the Year.

Mercy, Mercy, Anderson's 5th studio album, debuted at #7 on iTunes Christian/Gospel Charts and is receiving promising reviews across the board. CCM Magazine says, “Mercy, Mercy is a loaded 15-song album complete with thought-provoking tracks all resting on a soothing, rich musical palette featuring deep arrangements and intricate harmonies. ‘We Adore You’ specifically captures Anderson’s exceptional vocal performance, showcasing range and passion. The flow and overall timbre of Mercy, Mercy is such a refreshing listen, the album is thoroughly enjoyed in any setting or mood."

RISE, PJ's 4th full length album, receiving praise and critical acclaim, was released on October 7, 2014 and debuted at #11 on the iTunes Christian Charts. Jesusfreakhideout gave RISE a positive nod and said, "It would be surprising to not see his career catapult with this album. Musically, it resembles something Matt Maher would could easily be heard on CCM Radio," says Ryan Barbee of Jesusfreakhideout. Gary Miller of, writes, “Be it the melodies, the lyrics, PJ’s writing style, or a combination of all those things, RISE oozes peace." He goes on to say that RISE has "very radio-worthy tunes! Go buy this album.”

PJ is well known among the Catholic community through his participation in Catholic Heart Workcamps and as the music leader of multiple pilgrimages to Rome. He has also provided music for multiple events in the Diocese of Memphis over the past couple of years.
