This year will mark the 100th anniversary of Our Heavenly Mother's apparitions at Fatima during which she revealed that God wishes devotion to her Immaculate Heart to be established in the world, and that it would be the key to the salvation of souls and world peace.

It was on May 13, 1917 that the apparition of Mary appeared to three shepherds at Fatima, Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia. This year marks the centennial celebration and for that commemoration Pope Francis will journey to Fatima and canonize the three individuals.
