Fifth annual Eucharistic Conference

Fifth annual Eucharistic Conference: Exploring the Mysteries of the Eucharist

  • Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
  • Mass is at 8:15 a.m., followed by a morning of prayer and reflection with Father Russ Harbaugh, Pastor of Holy Rosary.

“The purpose of the event is to spend time reflecting on the importance and meaning of the Eucharist in our lives,” said Deacon Rich Quinton, one of the event organizers. The morning of reflection includes a light breakfast and is free of charge, although donations are accepted. The event concludes at noon.

St. Patrick’s Day Trivia Night

The OLS Youth Group is hosting a trivia night on St. Patrick’s Day.

  • Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and play will begin at 6:45 p.m.
  • The cost is $90 per table with up to six players.
  • Additional players are $15 each.

The theme is “Everything Irish.” Prizes go to the best decorated table, the best-dressed leprechaun and the best-dressed collen. Hot dogs, nachos, chips and soft drinks will be available for purchase. BYOB. There will be door-prizes and prizes for two rounds of “Heads or Tails.” The first place, second place and last place teams will receive prizes.

Kids Kan Canned Food Drive

Be a Shining Star to help the hungry during kroger Kids Kaned Food Drive! Benefiting the Mid-South Food Bank feeding the need.

Non-perishable canned goods like canned tuna, canned meat, peanut butter, canned fruits & 100% fruit juices are needed.

Bring donated food to your homeroom between Monday February 19 and Friday March 30.

Homerooms collecting the largest quantity in each school will get a $25 Kroger Gift Card for a party.

All canned goods will be distributed by The Mid-South Food Bank to charitable agencies that feed thousands of hungry people daily in 31 counties throughout the Mid-South.

Take a Stand for Life

You have what it takes to save a life. Use your gifts and spend an hour praying in front of Planned Parenthood this Lent with the 20th Campaign of 40 Days for Life. It all begins Ash wednesday, February 14 thru Palm Sunday March 25th. We need prayer warriors from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.

In the 20 campaigns we have seen many miracles, babies and women saved from the horror of abortion. We offer help, hope and love.

St. Louis will host the 40 days for Life kickoff rally Monday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Clunnan Center, St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 South White Station Road, Memphis. Come, learn, see and ask questions.

We are honored to have the National Director of 40 Days for Life, Steve Karlen as the keynote speaker. Crisis pregnancy centers will also be sharing some of their successes. Catholics have always participated in this act of love and mercy over the 10 years.
