First Tuesday Pot Luck

  
  We call it "First Tuesday" because it is held the first Tuesday of every month. 

"The next First Tuesday Pot Luck will be held in Marian Hall at The
Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1695 Central Avenue; Tuesday
June 10, 2008 beginning at 6:30 p.m."

Bring a Pot Luck food item and join us for socializing, a delicious meal,
a brief presentation and Evening Prayer followed by more socializing over
dessert.

Ample parking is available behind The Cathedral.  Marian Hall is on the lower level of the building.  Elevators and stairs can be found at the west side entrance between The Cathedral and Parish offices. 

  
     
 
 
 

Parent Support Group

  
  The Parent Support Group meets every even numbered month on the second Tuesday of that month.  The next scheduled meetings are on December 11, 2007;  February 12, 2008;  April 8, 2008; and June 10, 2008.  Meetings are held at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, lower level, 1695 Central Avenue.  Support Group meetings generally focus around a brief presentation followed by discussion with light refreshments.  All parents of GLBT children are welcome.   
 
 
 

Future Events

  
  The Catholic Ministry with Gay and Lesbian Persons will announce educational sessions which will be conducted for those responsible for pastoral leadership in our diocese. It is our hope that those sessions will help to lay a firm foundation for the ministry and will encourage more Catholics to get involved.

In addition, brochures about the ministry will be prepared and will be distributed to parishes and schools. Copies of "Always Our Children: A Pastoral Message to Parents of Homosexual Children and Suggestions for Pastoral Ministers," a statement of the Bishops' Committee on Marriage and Family, will be made available.
