Welcome to  the website of the Catholic Ministry with Gay and Lesbian Persons.  We are an emerging ministry in the Catholic Diocese of Memphis.  Please take a few minutes to navigate our website and reflect on the information found here.  Be sure to read Bishop J. Terry Steib's letter (This Far by Faith) that announces his formation of this ministry.

Join us as we gather each month for  "First Tuesday Pot Luck."  It is a very casual pot luck on the first Tuesday of every month.   The pot luck includes socializing, good food, a brief presentation, Evening Prayer and more socializing over dessert.  
 
The foundation for this Diocesan Ministry with Gay and Lesbian Catholics was built by Bishop J. Terry Steib.  Read his letter of May 19, 2005 as published in The West Tennessee Catholic by clicking here. 

The same edition of The West Tennessee Catholic includes a personal reflection written by Millicent Cobb, a Cathedral parishioner. Millicent was one of the parents who shared her journey of faith with Bishop Steib in preparation for the establishment of the new diocesan ministry.  Read it here.
