The Catholic schools in the Diocese of Memphis, in accordance with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, are committed to quality education, in an environment of
spiritual, intellectual and moral formation, in which faith,
culture and life are brought into harmony.
Dear Friends of Catholic Schools,
Catholic education in the Diocese of Memphis is the answer to the questions facing parents in our society. Who will educate my child to be a person of character and strength prepared to meet the challenges of the 21st Century? Where will I find the faith-based environment that will both nurture and strengthen my child so that he/she will grow academically, spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically?
We in the Catholic schools are on a mission to reclaim our heritage and meet the ever-expanding educational needs of the children of our Catholic Church and our community. The reopening, expanding and opening of Catholic schools throughout our Diocese is making that answer more available to more children and families. Our vision continues to expand as we experience unprecedented growth and our highest enrollment since 1977. The values, high standards, academic excellence, recognizing each student as an individual, safe learning environment, service and faith-based education
- all hallmarks of a Catholic education - make our Catholic schools unique.
We are blessed by the excellent administration and teachers who serve in our Catholic schools. We are blessed by the generosity of our benefactors who value Catholic education. We are blessed by the gifts of time and talent so lovingly given by our volunteers. We are blessed to offer the opportunity of a Catholic education to all God's children. As you read of our accomplishments this year, know that it is God's hand that guides us and the vision of Bishop Steib that charts our course and your faithful prayers and support that sustains us.
Humbly and gratefully,

Dr. Mary C. McDonald
Secretary of Education/Superintendent of Schools
All Catholic Schools are accredited by the
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
