Incarnation Catholic School is growing by leaps and
bounds! Having opened in 2000 with only 42 students in
grades K-3, we have grown to 275 from Pre-Kindergarten
to 8th Grade. The new expansion of our school
building, completed in April 2006, includes 11
classrooms, a beautiful library, state-of-the-art
computer lab, fully equipped science lab, spacious art
room and guidance office.
Because we are first and foremost a Catholic school,
religious instruction remains an integral part of our
school. Each day begins and ends with prayer. Students
and faculty attend weekly Mass and Rosary. Students in
grades one through eight participate in First Friday
Adoration each month and Stations of the Cross during
Lent. All students participate in Advent services,
Guardian Angel Day, and the May Crowning. Religious
instruction prepares our students to receive the
sacraments of Reconciliation, Communion, and
Confirmation.
In
addition to the core academic classes, ICS offers Art,
Music, Spanish, Physical Education, Computer, and
Library instruction. Extra-curricular activities
include Forensics, Chess Club, BETA, Academic Day,
Student Council, and Young Rembrandts. Incarnation also
offers before and after school care. Students have the
opportunity to participate in athletics through the
Parish Athletic Association. Currently, the PAA offers
Basketball, Golf, Girls’ Volleyball, Baseball, and Cross
Country.
Many
events bring our school community together: The
Back-to-School Picnic, Literacy Night, Scholastic Book
Fair, Community Appreciation Day, Student Talent Show,
Autumn Fest, Faculty/Student Basketball Game, Field Day,
Catholic Schools’ Week, Grandparents’ Day, and the
annual Christmas program. Something great is always
happening at ICS!
Incarnation received an exemplary accreditation rating
from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
(SACS) and is a member of the National Catholic
Educational Association (NCEA).
Incarnation is an exciting place to learn and miracles
happen here everyday. For more information please
contact the school office, and we will be happy to
answer any questions you may have. We look forward to
seeing you. |
