In the Diocese of Memphis, First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are received in the spring of the student’s Second Grade year. Confirmation is administered in the spring of the student’s Eighth Grade year. Diocesan requirements state that a student must be enrolled in religious education classes for at least one year prior to their sacrament year. Parents of students in a sacrament year are required to attend two (2) parental sacramental classes. The dates and times are listed in the Parish Religious Education Handbook given to you when you register your student, and also in the Sunday bulletin. A copy of the Baptismal Certificate must be provided at sacrament registration. If your student has not been instructed in our faith and/or celebrated the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, and/or Confirmation at the regular ages, please contact Terry Harvey, Director of Religious Education (756-1213) for more information regarding a class for them.
