Overview

The St. Francis Youth Athletics (SFAYA) programs are divided into three divisions:

Pee Wee Non-competitive (ages 4-6): Your child's introduction to the sport begins here. This is a non-competitive division that emphasizes teaching the basic and fundamental skills, while emphasizing fun & sportsmanship.

Basketball | Soccer | T-Ball

Charlie Brown Semi-Competitive (Grades 1-4): This division focuses on teaching fundamentals and skills in a recreational, semi-competitive environment, while emphasizing fun & sportsmanship. 

Baseball | Basketball | Softball | Soccer

Parochial Athletic Association (Grades 5-8): This division emphasizes individual skill development, team strategies and sportsmanship. Players will adjust to a larger field, stronger defenses, and more experienced players.

Baseball | Basketball | Cheerleading | Cross Country | Golf | Soccer | Softball | Volleyball

Requirements


Players must be enrolled at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School or enrolled and attending St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church PRE Program. (Does not apply to Grades: 4K-5K(Ages: 4-6)/Pee Wee Non-competitive)
 
The Parochial Athletic Association (PAA) requires that all 5th-8th grade boys & girls have a physical performed by a licensed physician in order to participate. Forms completed after June 1st are valid for upcoming school year. Completed medical forms must be turned in prior to the first practice. Forms may be obtained from the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Office.
 
PAA also regulates that sports participants cannot exceed a total of 8 hours of sports activities (practice and games) per week.
 
PeeWee sports: All participants must be 4 by
August 1st – to play peewee soccer  
January 1st – to play peewee basketball 
May 1st – to play t-ball
