Choral Concert to be April 13
On Sunday, April 13, the English ensemble Alamire will present an English choral concert at St. Peter Church, located at 190 Adams.
Works by Tallis, Byrd, Josquin and other Renaissance composers will be offered, under the direction of David Skinner.
Dr. Skinner is a Lecturer at Sidney Sussex College in Cambridge, specializing in music of the Renaissance and medieval periods.
The concert, which is free begins at 3 p.m. and is sponsored by the Department of Music at Rhodes College. For more information, call Jane Scharding Smedley at 527-8282, ext. 15.
Concert Series Continues with Memphis Brass Quintet
The final concert of the SBA Crossroads Concert season will be held on Sunday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the SBA Performing Arts Theatre, located at 8250 Varnavas Dr. in Cordova.
Featured performers will be the University of Memphis Rudi Scheidt School of Music Memphis Brass Quintet. SBA's instrumental groups will also perform.
The Memphis Brass Quintet is the professional brass ensemble of the U of M School of Music and has developed a reputation for outstanding artistic concert presentations.

Church of the Holy Spirit to Hold Annual Parish Mission
The Church of the Holy Spirit, located at 2300 Hickory Crest Dr., has scheduled its annual Parish Mission for April 6-9.
The theme is God's Abundant Blessings and will be presented by Father Rick Potts, C.Ss.R.
Father Potts has served as Associate Pastor of Holy Names parish in Memphis, and is currently the editor of Liguorian Magazine.
Church of the Holy Spirit's Mission is offering both morning and evening sessions which is open to all, free of charge and child care will be provided.
Sessions times are Sunday, April 6 at 7 p.m., Monday, April 7 at 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and on Tuesday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 9 at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
In addition, Father Potts will be available for spiritual direction and the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Tuesday, April 8 from 2-4 p.m. in the chapel, and at other times by appointment.

Holy Rosary Event to Feature New Orleans Fun
The Holy Rosary School Mothers' Club 33rd Annual Spring Fashion Show and Silent Auction is planned for Saturday, April 26 beginning at 6 p.m. in the school gymnasium.
The evening, with the theme, All Jazzed Up Down in the Quarter, will feature fashions from Stein Mart. The night will include New Orleans fun, great food, fashion and fellowship.
Tickets include a delicious Cajun-style dinner provided by Coletta's. The evening will also include entertainment provided by The Reflections, beverages and more.
Sponsor tables are also available for a limited time and include special VIP treatment, ten admission tickets & goodie bags, three bottles of wine, a personal waiter for the evening, and a full page ad in the event program.
