Stations of the Cross Installed at Retreat Center
Members of the Cathedral Campus Youth Ministry (CCYM) recently built and installed Stations of the Cross on the grounds of Our Lady Queen of Peace Retreat Center. CCYM leaders, Jennie Latta, Robert Hardwick, George Oswald, and Angela Keith led the youth in this project.
The Stations were made possible by a donation from Cathedral Parishioner, Janet McDonnell in memory of her husband Jim.
The youth and youth leaders constructed them, dug the holes and carefully installed them.
Advent Retreat Day For Singles Offered
Our Lady Queen of Peace Retreat Center is offering an Advent Retreat Day for all diocesan adult singles on Saturday, December 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The theme for the retreat is Ruth, Jeremiah and Anna: Companions for the Journey.
The day is offered for participants to prepare for Advent by taking time to reflect on the lives of Ruth, Jeremiah and Anna, who each lived life single. Their stories and struggles to be faithful to God's call to them are not too different from today's single person.
The day will include continental breakfast, a morning conference and reflection time, followed by the celebration of Mass. Reconcilliation will also be available.
Following lunch there will be discussion and sharing time for those widowed, divorced and never-married. The day will conclude with prayer.
